Mercuriades 2020 - Kezber

MAGOG, September 16, 2020 – Kezber, a leader in IT business solutions for some 25 years, is very proud to announce its selection as a finalist for the Mercuriades in the category of Productivity Improvement. The company has improved its productivity throughout Quebec by means of its advanced technological tools.

Year after year, the Mercuriades – the most prestigious business contest in Quebec – has showcased inspiring role models for the next generation of businesses and the Quebec economy.

“The contest was born of the conviction that recognizing the efforts and successes of local entrepreneurs and businesses contributes to their ability to stand out and to mobilize their teams. This mark of recognition, given by FCCQ management for forty years now, continues to demonstrate that the contest is as relevant today as when it was launched on November 3, 1979,” stated Stéphane Forget, President and CEO of the FCCQ:

This Mercure award recognizes an innovative strategy that has made it possible to increase the productivity of a company, notably resulting in an increase in organizational efficiency. Finalists are evaluated on the following points, among others:

  • Development of new internal processes or procedures
  • Strategic use of information technology
  • Review of ways of doing things
  • Tighter resource management
  • Investment in higher-performing equipment and technologies

A company focused on digital transformation

For Kezber, being a finalist in the Mercuriades’ Productivity Improvement category has very special meaning. First, it is recognition of a sustained effort to implement an innovative and effective strategy. Second, Kezber's mission is precisely to incite evolution among its clients, by offering them a multitude of innovative technological services to enable them to achieve excellence.

“We are extremely proud of this nomination. In the Productivity Improvement category, we are being evaluated on our use of IT, our innovative approach, and the development of new processes – precisely our areas of business expertise. In this sense, it is a twofold recognition of who we are and what we do,” stated Alan Kezber, CEO.

For the contest, Kezber presented its BI (Business Intelligence) strategy. This encompasses expertise that it offers to its clients – companies of all sizes in all business sectors. Data is collected in real time from multiple sources and analyzed in real time to then be transformed into key performance indicators (KPIs), thus facilitating rapid, informed decision-making. This analytical technology meets several operational needs of SMEs and has enabled Kezber to better manage service requests and to process them more quickly. It also facilitates the sharing of information among team members. The same exercise was done concurrently for the sales and finance departments so as to automatically extract the data to transform it into interactive performance tables.

This strategy includes a custom application created by Kezber, called ClearBench, to enhance ERP software. ClearBench facilitates strategic planning and task distribution within ERP. Having an experienced department specialized in app creation, it was easy for Kezber to devise this custom addition to existing third-party software.

Kezber did not stop there, also renewing its Microsoft Gold Partner accreditations and adding Microsoft Gold accreditation in data analytics – achievements attributed to employees' desire to perform and to constantly train on new technologies.

This complementarity of Kezber’s services presents a unique advantage for its partners. Having specialized resources in several technological facets, the company can go much further in its partners' digital transformations and thus support them through a process of continuous improvement.

Alan Kezber stated: “Inciting evolution is more than a slogan – it's how we see and support companies in their digital transformations. Our agile methodology enables clients to gradually improve their processes; a flexible progression that has the advantage of offering benefits quickly while helping to change people’s mindset to promote modernization. Our mission goes far beyond providing clients with the technological tools necessary for digital transformation. We promise clients the support they need to ensure the success of this important transition from start to finish.”
