Teams: Microsoft reinvents team spirit
July 5, 2019
An enterprise social network designed with teamwork in mind
Microsoft Teams is a platform entirely dedicated to collaborative work. It’s included with your Office 365 license and it allows you to:
communicate more effectively across the organization, even among different office locations or with remote employees;
- collaborate on files with built-in Office applications;
- customize your workspace according to your needs;
- benefit from a higher level of security and control.
With its vast array of features, you and your employees will quickly see the benefits. Say goodbye to working in silos!
Organize meetings where everyone can participate
Whether for a two-person meeting in the same city or a webinar for 10,000+ attendees across three continents, Microsoft Teams makes you forget the distance with its complete online meeting solution. With audio and video conferences, online meeting spaces and live streaming, you can bring people together no matter where they are. At Kezber, we use videoconferencing to hold meetings between our three offices, which leads to better collaboration on joint projects.
Collaborate on files more efficiently
Thanks to Team’s tight integration with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio, file collaboration and sharing is child’s play. Your employees can view and edit files, and see the changes made by their colleagues. This allows for better tracking of changes, cuts down on versioning and reduces the risk of errors. Kezber employees who work on the road particularly enjoy the ability to access files in the cloud no matter where they are.
Hold productive and discreet conversations with Instant Messaging
Admit it: holding a discussion by email and seeing your inbox be flooded with responses can be cumbersome and inefficient. Also, discussions between cubicle neighbors may affect the concentration of other employees. Microsoft Teams’ Instant Messaging is the perfect tool to deal with these daily issues in the office. Hold written or video conversations, make quicker decisions between colleagues, share GIFs and stickers, and foster a friendly environment. At Kezber, we don’t even get up to ask questions to our colleagues anymore. We simply use Instant Messaging to quickly get the answers we’re looking for.
Create teams for better collaboration and control
It’s possible to go even further in terms of collaboration! With the Shifts feature, you can create public or private work channels for file sharing, project planning and, of course, targeted conversations. You can also control access, send invitations, add calendars and other useful apps within this shared workspace. At this point, do we even need to mention that we use this feature extensively at Kezber?
Make clear and reliable calls
Yes, you understood correctly. Microsoft Teams allows you to make amazingly clear and reliable phone calls all over the world. Combine the Phone System feature with Direct Routing and/or Calling Plan services to fully leverage Teams voice calling capabilities. You can replace your entire local phone system and manage everything centrally in the cloud. If you visit Kezber's premises, you will notice that there are no phones on the desks, as we do everything by computer or smartphone!
Find out more and do more!
When choosing a solution for your business, it's best to discuss with people who use it every day. Get in touch with us! We are always happy to share our experience as users of Microsoft Teams with our clients. And we’ve just scratched the surface here. Teams offers even more resources, each more useful than the others. One thing is certain: if team spirit were an Office 365 application, it would be called Microsoft Teams.
10 advantages to Remote Work: Could this new Business Model last?
It’s hard to believe the world has been remote for months now. Days seem to blur together in a sea of apps, video conferences and virtual realities. Life at the office is but a distant memory – and a pile of sweatpants is now your constant companion.
